At a glance
I have been in pastoral ministry since 2007 and was ordained in 2012. At MABC I am tasked with shepherding the college students, overseeing the youth ministry (Jr. High and High School), overseeing the worship ministry, and shepherding the congregation alongside the rest of the elders.

Tell us a little bit about yourself
I grew up attending church every week with my family and I attended Christian schools until I graduated from junior high. Yet, I did not come to know Christ truly and personally until I was in high school. That’s when God helped me realize that I am a sinner and I need Jesus. My life changed completely when I trusted in Him! He gave me hope and purpose for my life.
I began my studies at UC San Diego as a biology major, but the Lord did not allow me to be at peace until I committed my life to full time ministry. In order to be sure about this calling, I began volunteering at church with the youth ministry. As I led worship, taught the scriptures, and ministered to the young people, the Lord confirmed my calling through the encouragement of fellow believers and mentors.
In 2011, I was very blessed to marry Nora (Bardakjian) and we have enjoyed serving the Lord together ever since.
Do you have any hobbies, things you like to do with your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my wife, family, and friends. I love listening to classical music and attending concerts; I love to sing! I enjoy reading about the latest tech gadgets and also discovering for myself the exciting things they can do. I really enjoy reading theology and novels.
Favorite books or authors?
I enjoy reading books by John Frame and D.A. Carson. I also really enjoy reading the biographies and the works of Godly men who have come before us like Jonathan Edwards, John Owen, and John Newton (apparently, I like authors with the name, “John”!)
Any favorite passage?
I see my life and my ministry summed up in the following verse written by the Apostle Paul:
“I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory” (2 Timothy 2:10).
